"The success of Rosé's 'Apt.' seems to have positively influenced investment sentiment. In a situation where there were concerns about the K-pop industry peaking, her career high confirms that interest in K-pop remains strong in the West."

The K-pop industry has seen a strong rebound since September 2024, driven by rising performance expectations, major artist comebacks, and the reopening of the Chinese market. Rosé's global success with "Apt" has played a key role in boosting investor confidence, leading to stock increases for major companies like Hybe, JYP, SM, and YG. Analysts predict significant profit growth next year, fueled by artists like Rosé.[1] Additionally, YG Plus saw a 157.8% stock rise over six trading days, benefiting from its role in distributing Rosé's solo work under The Black Label.[2][3]
"Apt." has been credited with reviving interest in Yoon Soo-il's 1982 hit "Apartment" (아파트), which has seen a 190% streaming increase on Genie Music following the release of Rosé and Bruno Mars' duet. In a phone interview with Yonhap News, Yoon expressed gratitude for the revival, stating, "I am grateful that Rosé and Bruno Mars reconstructed my song". He also noted the positive reception of viral mixes and highlighted the catchy "apateu apateu" line.[4][5][6] The song has also boosted HiteJinro's stock by 6% to 21,200 won, with trading volume exceeding 1 million shares. Investors are optimistic about further gains, with a company official noting that somaek could become a global topic due to Rosé's influence. He remarked, "Rosé has turned Korea's play culture into music, showing how to make somaek, which we hope will spark international interest in Korean soju". HiteJinro is exploring social media marketing strategies tied to Rosé's music video and soju tutorials to enhance exports amid sluggish domestic sales.[7]
