About Me

I am a PhD candidate in art history with a focus on postwar and contemporary art, and I hold an MA and a BA in art history. My research, writing, and teaching explore intersections between contemporary art history, performance studies, museum studies, and time-based media conservation. I am invested in questioning the formation of dominant art historical canons and challenging and expanding their scope. I am interested in how creating and editing structured data can help address the biases and blind spots that persist in the formation, and accessibility, of art historical knowledge.

Conflict of Interest Statement

I, Lidiaferrara, am an employee of the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, CA, a cultural institution per WP:GLAM dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of the visual arts and art history. I am also a PhD candidate in the Department of Art History at the University of California, Los Angeles. The Department of Art History encourages its students to question dominant art historical structures and rethink the relationships between centers and peripheries in our field.

I will only make edits that are beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia and will follow editing guidelines specified at WP:GLAM. If my editing conflicts with Wikipedia etiquette or guidelines or is deemed not beneficial, I invite editors to contact me via my user talk page.
