The Webster Springs Hotel (1897-1925) was the biggest wooden structure in West Virginia until it burned down in 1925. Webster Springs at that time was known for Salt Sulpher
water that was said to cleanse toxins in the human body it attracted people from all over the country. The hotel was known to be very Luxurious. It burned to the ground on July 21 1925 its said you could see the bright glow all the way In Elkins,Randolph County, West Virginia.
