Don't bold first words in discussions is simply a polite subset of don't be a dick.
In discussion, don't bold first words. It's a talk page, not an RFC !vote. On talk pages, we use normal English capitalization, Wikipedia subheadings, discussion, indentation, signatures, etc.
Repetitively bolded first or lead words are intrusive, distracting, blaring, unnecessary, self-aggrandizing, deprecatory of other comments which are not so adorned, and an imposition of a style on others, outside the scope of WP:TALK, without discussion or the consensus of others in the discussion.
Bolded first words at User talk:Lexein will be debolded uncontroversially, at my sole, and unchallengeable discretion. If I have requested (anywhere) that you not use such bolding, or commented on its inappropriateness, that serves as your prior warning of this condition of use on this talk page.
