The retail store began under the name Pyramid Records in 1978. It changed names and incorporated in 1984 in the name Electric Ladyland, Inc. The founders: Bob Nord and Lew White, friends from the age of 7 who attended the same schools, and founded the musical group The Leaves of Autumn - see web page on the group, the members, and how it developed: www.fossilizedcustoms.com/leavesofautumn.html Electric Ladyland is a musical museum, retailing fluorescent artwork, art prints and posters, sound and video recordings of musical artists on DVD, CD, LP, and cassette tapes. Also featured are T-shirts of select musical artists, dashikis, blankets & tapestries, buttons, stickers, e-cigarettes, tobacco pipes, shisha & shisha pipes, and many other hippie lifestyle items such as purses, headbands, hemp products, and tie-dyed items. Lew retired from managing the retail operation in 2013. As of 2013, full-time attention was turned toward a new translation of the 66 books of Scripture: the BYNV, or Besorah of Yahusha Natsarim Version. It and about 17 other books may be previewed at: Lew White's Authors Page The BYNV restores the Name of the Creator in palaeo-Hebrew to the text, and corrects some former translation blunders, such as Mt. 26:17, where most translations indicate the followers of Yahusha asked Him where He wanted them to prepare the Passover "on the first day of Unleavened Bread". This would be impossible of course, so the correction reflects what the Greek text's word "protos" clearly means, that it was "before" (protos) Unleavened Bread. Another correction is at Acts 12:3, where the KJV uses the word "Easter" in place of the word "Passover"; Passover is the correct term. Easter was a pagan observance involving sun-worship and fertility symbols, such as eggs and rabbits. In Malaki, the phrase "Sun of righteousness" is corrected to read "Servant of righteousness". There have been many other details corrected, too numerous to mention here. The translation became available in August 2013, and is available in printed soft cover as well as electronically through Amazon Kindle, which may be used on phones, tablets, or MAC and PC computers. Readers will learn transliterated Hebrew words very quickly by reading, or listening to the BYNV with text-to-speech software.
