James Culleton Born in 1974 in Winnipeg, James Culleton studied art at the University of Manitoba where he received his BFA Honors in 1997. While living in Montréal in 2006 he received a grant from the conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec to rediscover his French roots. He published his first book in 2009 called Contouring Québec in which he used blind contour drawing and a GPS to document his movements through Québec. In 2010 he was awarded a commission to create a series of steel sculptures for the façade of the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg.
