Hello!

My name is Kay, and I am a student at the University of Auckland, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Politics, International Relations, and Sociology. I am passionate about understanding the intersections of law, politics, and history, particularly in the context of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and the wider Pacific region. My interests include history (particularly concerning military engagements), video games, cooking and music (both playing and listening).

I am a new addition to the Wikipedia editing world, currently exploring opportunities to contribute to the project Understanding Our Past: Using Wikipedia as a Tool to Support Local History in Tāmaki Makaurau. This initiative involves training Wikipedia interns to create, edit, and enhance Auckland local history and suburb pages to align with the Aotearoa NZ Histories Curriculum.

This project resonates with my passion for public history and my skills in research, synthesizing historical information, and engaging with diverse audiences. I am very excited about the potential to make historical resources more accessible for teachers and students across Tāmaki Maka
