Stark headed the Milwaukee Bar and held other positions of distinction, though I'm not sure if he held elected office. The LOC link has an image. He is also in many of the standard Wisconsin and Milwaukee biographical reference sources.

One of the reasons I have made this note now is that I forgot about this book, and it is not on Internet Archives.
