There is 5 types of Fractions. These Are;

1.Proper Fractions - a type of fraction that the numerator is smaller than the denominator. These thype of fractions can be in a cake or a pizza.

Example: 3/4 - the denominator 4 is more than the numerator 3.

2. Improper Fractions - another type of fraction that the numerator is bigger than the denominator.

Example: 4/3 - the numerator 4 is more than the denominator 3.

3. Similar Fractions- a type of fraction meaning that the 2 fractions denominator is the same or has the same number at the bottom.

Example: 3/4 4/4 - the denominators are the same to the fraction 3/4 and 4/4.

4. Dissimilar Fractions - another type of fraction meaning that the denominators of the 2 fractions are not the same or different. This can be a problem in adding the fractions which is on a different lesson.

Example: 2/3 4/6 - They're denominators are different or not the same.

5. Mixed numbers - the last type of fraction meaning, the mixed number has a whole number at the middle of the fraction.

Example: 4 3/4

How to make Improper fractions to Mixed Numbers: divide the denominator to the numerator. This continues that the amount of times you can get the mixed fractions (like 3) meaning that it will be the whole number between the fraction. The remainder that the denominator left will be the new denominator. Copy the denominator.

Example: 25/4 = 4 ÷ 25 = 6 = whole number 1 = numerator/remainder 4 = denominator Answer: 6 1/4

How to make Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions: multiply the whole number to the denominator then add it to the denominator. Put the number to the numerator then, copy the denominator.

Example: 4 1/5 = 4 × 5 + 1= 21/5
