Lance Trumbull is the Director and Producer of the documentary film - Everest: A Climb for Peace. This history-making Everest film is narrated by Orlando Bloom and hailed by the Dalai Lama as an "tremendous achievement".
Lance was the co-expedition leader for The Everest Peace Project's historic Everest Climb for Peace. He helped successfully lead 10 people to the summit of Everest. Lance also helped film the documentary in seven different countries and also appears as an important character on screen.
Lance is an avid explorer who has traveled all over the world in the search for adventure. He went to school at UC Berkeley, where he studied religion under world famous scholar Huston Smith. Being a Buddhist he has actively tried to lead a compassionate and mindful life. His passion has been mountain climbing and exploring--he has spent many months trekking and climbing throughout mountains in Nepal, Tibet, China, Mongolia, Russia, and India. His interest in mountains and religion led to his creating The Everest Peace Project. In July 2005, he successfully led the Kilimanjaro Climb for Peace team to the roof of Africa - and on May 18th, 2006 his Everest Climb for Peace summited 10 climbers.
Lance is also the founder and executive director of The Everest Peace Project – an organization whose mission is to inspire and promote peace. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Tikky.
