LFVasey's Beliefs

  • First subject id like to go into is politics...

You could consider me a Democratic Liberal, But I consider myself a Democratic Socialist. I believe in Universal Heath Care, Pro-Choice (I'm Pro-Life, but its the womens choice), Mixed Ecomomy, Direct Representative Semi-Presidential Democracies, Labor Rights, Workers Rights, Civil Rights, Rights, etc...

*Also, Democratic Socialism is nothing to be scared of, just because it has Socialism in the word doesn't mean its bad, because you've had it put into your mind that Socialism is what the Russians (Soviets) had, cos it isn't. Communism is what they said they had. But realisticly they were just a plain and simple Dictatorship... Nothing more nothing less...

My Basic Beliefs:

  • Political Spectrum = Far-Left (Democratic Liberal/Socialist)
  • Religion = Irish Catholic by family, Christian in my own way/ I believe that I and all of us should be.... Nice, Loving, Caring, Forgiving, Non-prejudice, and Non-judgmental.Basically Jesus Christ's Teachings.... & That Science Was Created by God.
  • American Political Party = Democratic Party
  • British Political Party = Labour Party
  • Foreign Policy = Don't invade or start a war with out first using diplomacy, and trying to solve things civil like. If there is absolutely no other way, then use War, or invade.
    • -Direct Democracy: Used to elect and dismiss all officials, to pass laws or take away laws, and execute motions. Used to have leader and officials that are bound to the peoples will.
    • -Labor Rights = Laborers and or workers get specific employment rights such as Health care, and such...
    • -Unalienable Rights = Freedoms....
    • -Free Market (Mixed Economy) = Allowing Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism.
    • -Freedom of Religion = Allowed to be whatever religion you please.
    • -Secularism = (Separation of Church (Religion) and State (Government) at all times.)
    • -Universal Health care = Health care provided by the government, funded by tax payers, and equal Health care for all. (If your sick with a minor thing such as a common cold, etc... you are charged, if you have something extreme like a disease, or major illness, it is free.)
    • -Freedom of Speech = The right to protesting, and the right for censorship...

LFVasey's Veiw of The World
[edit]
  • The world is a beautiful place, but don't be fooled it can be ugly.

The world is Good and Bad. But with out bad in this world, there would be no point for good to exist, if there was no good in this world, there would be no reason to be bad. If the world was all good, things would be at a stale mate, for if there wasn't any bad, we would have nothing to learn from. If there was only bad, it would be chaos until there is nothing at all. For good cant learn if they have nothing to learn from, meaning what not to do, and what to do. We would think all is well and be at a stale mate in research, cos we would have nothing to research for, when something eventually happened, we wouldn't have the knowledge to stop it. Bad cant survive with out have the good to be bad to, if there were no good the bad would be bad to each other, eventually causing a self destruction of them selves. Basically the good cant live with out bad, and the bad cant live with out good. Because if you don't have the other you have no reason to even live. For the good would slowly disappear if they had no bad because they wouldn't be ready for if anything bad happened to them. The bad would disappear at a faster pace, because they would be bad to each other, eventually killing them selves off one by one till it gets to be in the 100s then 1000s then 1000000s and more. Good needs bad because then we have a reason to live, so we can learn how wrong it is and prevent them selves from becoming bad. The Bad need the good cos then they have something to be bad to.

    • But I say if Humans ever became Good and Bad in one, or in other words neutral, we would have a utopia of sorts, because if we were only good, we would only care for others, and not ourselves, so slowly we would be killing ourself. The bad would only care about them selves and want everything, and because all of them are bad there would be nonstop wars but not between nation, or groups. but between people, we would kill each other off until there is no more. While Neutral would care for both them selves and for others evenly. So they would help others to succeed while helping them shelve at the same time equaly to each person there helping, so it would cos advancing of tech, and eventualy our own brain and mind, to the point of evolution.

But realisticly, there will always be good and bad, so we will learn from each other, and slowly advance and then evolve, just how we've been going for this whole existence. What i am thinking is if theres only bad, it will self destruct, if there is only good it will self destruct, if there both good and bad we will slowly learn and evolve, but if there were only neutral we would learn and evolve at a faster pace. But we will always be in the middle, weather or not we like it or know it, or even care about it.

Description of Labour Party (Democratic Socialism) Beliefs
[edit]

Labour Party (Social Democracy)

  • Representative Democracy- is a form of government founded on the principles of the people's representatives

Labor Rights- Rights that have to do with Labor relations between workers and employers. General, these rights' debates have to do with negotiating workers' pay, benefits, and safe working conditions. One of the most central of these "rights" is the right to unionize. Unions take advantage of collective bargaining and industrial action to increase their members' wages and otherwise change their working situation. The labor movement initially focused on this "right to unionize", but attention has shifted elsewhere.

  • Civil Liberties- Civil liberties are freedoms that protect the individual from the government. Civil liberties set limits for government so that it cannot abuse its power and interfere with the lives of its citizens.
  • Welfare State- the provision of welfare services by the state.
  • Mixed Economy- A mixed economy is an economic system that incorporates aspects of more than one economic system. This usually means an economy that contains both privately-owned and sate-owned enterprises or that combines elements of capitalism and socialism, or a mix of market economy and planned economy characteristics.
  • Secularism- Separation of Church and State
  • Fair Trade- Fair trade's strategic intent is to deliberately work with marginalized producers and workers in order to help them move from a position of vulnerability to security and economic self-sufficiency. It also aims at empowering them to become stakeholders in their own organizations and actively play a wider role in the global arena to achieve greater equity in International Trade. Fair trade proponents include a wide array of international religious, development aid, social and environmental organizations such as Oxfam, Amnesty International, Catholic Relief Services, and Caritas International.
  • Environmental Protection-is an increasing concern of individuals, organizations and governments. Due to the pressures of population and technology the biophysical environment is being degraded, sometimes permanently. This has been recognized and governments began placing restraints on activities that caused environmental degradation. Since the 1960s activism by the environmental movement has created awareness of the various environmental issues. There is not a full agreement on the extent of the environmental impact of human activity and protection measures are occasionally criticized.
Description of Conservative Party in UK
[edit]

Conservative Party (Conservative)

  • Conservatism- In the United States is Religious Conservatism. there are many types of conservatism movement such as, Libertarian Conservatism, and BioConservatism.

American Conservatives usually believe in Strong Military, Federalism, and Religious aspects (Evangelicalism/Protestant Views)

  • Fiscal Conservatism- (also known as economic conservatism) is a political phrase term used in North America to describe advocacy of lower governmental spending practices and a lower federal debt; It is used to define someone who advocates smaller government, less federal spending, fewer earmarks and entitlement Programs
  • Social Conservatism- is a political or moral ideology that affirms the government's role in encouraging or enforcing traditional values or behaviors in the belief that these are what keep people civilized and decent. However, the accepted meaning of traditional morality often differs from group to group within social conservatism. Thus, there are really no policies or positions that could be considered universal among social conservatives. There are, however, a number of principles to which at least a majority of social conservatives adhere.
  • Neo-Conservatism- was a Political Philosophy that emerged in the 1960’s from the rejection of Social Liberalism, Moral Relativism, and New Left Counterculture. It influenced George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush, representing a realignment in American politics, and the transition of some liberals to the right side of the spectrum, hence the term of New Conservatives. These Liberals who moved to the right side of the spectrum were the Democrats left over from when the Democratic Party was more Conservative. There has been many Politicians who announced them selves to be Neo-Conservatives. And each one of these Politicians were very low in approval Ratings.
