Bio
[edit]About me
[edit]I'm an Asian American living in the Pacific Northwest region of America. A fun fact about me is that I'm a Canadian citizen as well as an American citizen. I like to play video games in my spare time and draw whenever I get inspiration. I currently live in a city full of nature. I appreciate that I do; my family and I explore the beautiful scenes. I have a long-distance boyfriend currently, and we've been together for almost ten months now. We planned in the future that we would move in together and raise a dog together. I can't wait for the path to come upon me.
My Wikipedia activities
[edit]While using Wikipedia, I'll start doing and reading a lot of information that has been given. As a volunteer to Wikipedia, I plan on making pages on places I've visited or even stayed at for people wanting to know more. I will also edit minor mistakes on pages that I come across. If I find a flaw that I find incorrect, I will fix it.
Article Evaluation
[edit]I’ve always been a fan of Percussion instruments, mainly the instrument called the Vibes[1]. I visited the Vibes article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Citations, Age, and the Voice used in this article.
Citations
[edit]The citations used in the article seem to be placed at the end of the whole article. The citations range from the years 1900’s - and 2020’s and they don’t seem irrelevant to the topic of Vibraphones. It tells you the history behind it, and honestly I learned something new today.
Age
[edit]The last time this article was edited was September 2, 2021. To me it may have been a month ago, but it’s still pretty recent. Most of the citations were based on information from the past, but to me it helps the reader look into more of the history and what the manufacturers have built in their time before they have died.
Voice
[edit]The voice in this article was more of a description tone. The article tells me the history behind the manufacturing of the instrument. Then proceeds to inform me about the small features of the instrument parts and the different techniques, which is very helpful.
Summary
[edit]Overall, this article had minor flaws and to rate it, I would give it a 9 out of 10. There were some irrelevant things like how someone inserted a picture of the former headquarters of J.C. Deagan, INC.[2] But everything else seems very content to me. I love the fact that they put so many pictures of musicians in the article to see how they play.
