Kylenoe is the name of my family home in County Tipperary, Ireland.

I have had considerable experience in writing (including encyclopaedia entries) and in editing (both books and an academic journal).

I have lived and worked in Denmark, Greece, Hong Kong, Japan, and Spain. I am fluent in spoken and written Japanese, and have a reasonable working knowledge of French, Spanish, Greek, and – to a lesser extent – Danish.

My interests cover all "things Japanese," as well as academic subjects relating to advertising, ceramics, cultural production, fashion, and smell cultures.
