About Me

[edit]

Hello, my name is Kylah. I am a junior in high school doing the running start program. I am pursuing an associates’ degree, then hopefully continuing onto a four year school. I love learning about criminal psychology, but I hope to focus more towards animal and human relations. One day, if possible, I would like to open a facility that can help teens with mental health and learning to love themselves. I enjoy helping others especially cause I want to give others the chances I got at a facility.

My Wikipedia Interests

[edit]

As a volunteer, I hope to help fill in more about women in history, and mental health in women. I feel like these categories get overlooked due to assumptions that illnesses are the same in both predominantly male and predominantly female brains.

Fun Facts

[edit]

Animals are proven to help reduce anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and more.

My Wikipedia Article Evaluation:

[edit]

I visited the Everett Massacre article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: the lack of background information, confusing sources, and how they portrayed the battle scene.

In this article, they did thoroughly explain the battle scene and the casualties. This part was fully explained in detail, so readers could understand what the battle looked like. Unfortunately, this was the only part of the article that I felt was good. The majority of the article I felt could have been updated and in much more detail.

While reading the article, I had no clue what led up to the battle. The article did mention the sides a bit, but not once did they mention what each side was in support of. They did write on the side that goals included increases in wages, and labor rights, but nothing more than that. To find out the information,  you had to find your own sources of information. The sources in the article were not direct links to the information and you had to dig to find which article they were sourcing their information from. This was inconvenient and made the article seem less and less reliable. The article was created in 2005, even though it has been edited over time, I think this article needs a fresh page and new updated sources that actually give information the readers could be looking for.
