Philip Glass composed a set of twenty piano études between 1991 and 2012.[1]
History
[edit]Glass stated that he composed the études “to explore a variety of tempi, textures, and piano techniques” and to become “a better player”.[2] The first six of them were commissioned by Dennis Russell Davies for his fiftieth birthday.[3]
