{{Rapid transit in the former Soviet Union}}
To do
[edit]As you might have guessed I do have a fascination with the Metro systems, I do however feel that a united megaportal which links the Metro systems of the Former Soviet Union will be most interesting. Of course I would more than welcome help if it is possible and if necessary help you as well. Currently I am spending most of my attention on the Moscow and Kiev with sporadic edits elsewhere. The articles show the basic layout of presentation that will be applied to the following someday.
If you really want to help however then please provide the photographs of all these magnificent transport systems.
Potentially the portal can also include the systems from the Eastern Europe, which are built with similar technology, so if anyone wants to provide information about
Then please keep me informed.
Current programmes
[edit]With respect to WP:SOVMETRO, my plan is to modernise in the following order Baku Metro, Yekaterinburg Metro, Novosibirsk Metro and Samara Metro to a good status of articles as those below:
Next would to be to further improve Minsk Metro and Moscow Metro to status of GA and FA respectfully. And to generally improve Yerevan Metro and Tbilisi Metro
Successes
[edit]After being for now two years on wikipedia I can say that the rate of my input has slackened, nonetheless as slow as the progress is, I would love to finish it one day.
Ultimate goal
[edit]To have a total of 15 FA articles about the systems and 500+ GA articles about stations. Presently the count is 0 and 0 :(. --Kuban Cossack 12:35, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Done
[edit]Even longer...
A long todo one...finally done
All of the stations are my articles:
Well my Czech Colleagues already wrote an excellent article, I just gave them the lines and tempaltes.
Capital of the Urals after all
For a long time I new of its existance, but hands could not reach far enough to give that article an overhaul it so desperately needed. Now it has happened
Ahem:
Looks like that Metro lovers now no borders here its the works of my Azerbaijani Colleagues which amazed me. However no FSU Metro could have been left out without me.--Kuban Cossack 00:07, 14 March 2006 (UTC) And it was not. Templates have already been created. Given that Baku's Metro operation is rather unique...unique metros call for unique templates. :)--Kuban Cossack 13:44, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
The page was started by my Ukrainian colleauges but is yet to have me enter there and set things right, although the Ukrainians are preatty quick to catch on from what I have done on Kiev and Kharkov.
Started by my Armenian colleagues, received an influx second to none...form me that is.
