Zack Heart, is an Australia Wildlife Expert, Species Conservationist, and Television and film personality. Heart is recognized as a Television Host, Actor, Stuntman, Writer, Producer, and Director. Nicknamed Outback Zack, Heart is best known for his work in wild animal conservation and hosting Outback Zack's Australian Animal Fire Victims Appeal which he wrote, produced, funded and starred in. The one-hour television special raised over $500,000.00 [1] for the non-profit animal rescue organization Wildlife Victoria airing in both Australia and the United States.
Early life
[edit]Heart was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia to parents Janice Isabel, an art teacher and fashion designer, and Ian Arthur a Ranger with the Victorian Fisheries and Wildlife department [1](1972-1980). Heart was a student of NMIT now known as [2] in his native Australia, studying [Zoology] & [Conservation Biology] with ongoing studies in Cognitive [Ethology], [Ornithology] and [Wildlife Management]. Zack's primary focus being [mammals],[birds].
Career
[edit]Heart moved into the television and film world at age 17, becoming a professional stunt man[2]and was trained under the Sanford Meisner acting method by well known Australian Actress Vikki Blanche and continued on with fellow Australian acting icon John Orcsik at The Australian Film and Television Academy. His first on air role was as the cheeky criminal "Mackay' in the Australian series Blue Heelers. Heart followed this with recurring roles on the soap opera Neighbours, and ABC programs Correlli, and Janus. Heart went on to play the role of Navy Seal "Sergeant Oneil" in the US film Silver Strand with Nicollette Sheridan and Gil Bellows; following this, he played 'Skinny' the skinhead in the Australian feature film Crackers.
Outback Zack
[edit]Heart's main priority is to be a voice for the world's animals and restore balance to the planets eco systems. With his growing status as a television personality in the television industry, Heart moved all his focus and training into animal conservation. Nicknamed Outback Zack [citation needed] for his work with animals and being Australian, the character Outback Zack was then developed in 2004 and later copyrighted and trademarked by Outback Zack Productions. [4] With the popularity of the Outback Zack character and his inspirational work with animals, Heart was requested to make special guest appearances on US talk shows The Daily Buzz[6] , KUSI-TV's Good Morning San Diego,[6] and the Nightwatch Show. As Outback Zack, Heart was a hit with American audiences.[6] Catching the attention of US television producer Donald Durban from Planet X TV, co-producer of the Jack Hannah animal series. Heart began hosting episodes of the action and adventure television series Planet X TV[2], as the Outback Zack character and starring in American vehicle commercials.
Heart formed the television and film company Outback Zack Productions and is working on a number of animal television programs to aid in the prevention of global animal loss.
