"Raised by Wolves" is the the first single from Las Vegas, Nevada based post-hardcore band Falling in Reverse. The song was leaked on 29th May, 2011, but was released for purchase on 7th June, 2011. The song comes from the band's debut album The Drug In Me Is You and the music video will be released in the upcoming weeks.
The song was wrote by vocalist Ronnie Radke (formely of Escape the Fate) during his time in prison and is said to be about his former band, with lyric references such as "This war is mine", referring to the band's second release, "This War Is Ours", which is the first to feature new vocalist Craig Mabbitt. Also, there are lines in the chorus such as "you're what I started, now disregarded", meaning that it was his band and how they kicked him out, and also "one day they'll see, it was always me", meaning that one day his former band will see he is the real lead vocalist of Escape the Fate. The crucial line in the song that shows the song is about the band is where he states "I just learned my fate is something I cannot escape", possibly referring to his prison sentance.
Reception
[edit]The song has proven popular and well-recieved by fans of Radke and Escape the Fate alike. The song combines a heavier version of Escape the Fate with synthesisers and catchier chorus'. The song is the first real piece of music from Radke since his release from prison in December, 2010 and has been wanted by fans for a long time. Overall, well recieved by the fans and clearly states "Ronnie's back".
