Kyle Mertins is a an american baseball player currently playing at Santa Ana College. He is the younger brother of Kurt Mertins who plays for the Burlington Bees. Before playing at Santa Ana College Kyle played at El Dorado High School. He was the ace for the Golden Hawks in 2005. In his first collegiate season Kyle went 1-2 with a 6.04 ERA in 28.1 innings pitched. In the summer of 2008, Kyle will play for the Medicine Hat Mavericks.
