I'm Krystyn.
I'm a freshman at Ohio University.




Not sure of a title yet....

Objective: I propose to create a flickr album showing how parts of Athens differs (Culturally) due to the types of people/ways of living.

Interest: This is interesting because I feel that Athens has many different cultures represented. The differences in the rural areas and the university area is extreme. I think most people realize that there are differences between the rural and university parts of Athens, but I would like to show just how many differences there are. The way people live and look are two differences that could easily be shown by photographs, but I do plan on trying to show even greater cultural differences.

Background reading: I will look up the history of Athens as a town, the history of the university, and how Athens has changed since the building of the university. I will also apply as many sociological terms as possible to the project such as modernization, culture, society, etc...

General Plan: I plan to go around to many different areas of Athens and take pictures of places and people to show how great the diversity is in this town. For the captions, I plan on applying terms we have used in class in order to teach others about the sociological aspect of this.

Collaborators: I will be working alone.
