The Fountain of the Friendship of the Nations is a Fountain on Alexanderplatz in the Mitte district of Berlin. Walter Womacka designed the fountain as part of a redesign of Alexanderplatz. The fountain was dedicated on October 7, 1971, the 21st anniversary of the founding of the GDR. [1]
