Marcin Kochanowski [ˈmart͡ɕin kɔxaˈnɔvski], aka Kochaś [ˈkɔxaɕ], is a Polish fan, active listener, occasional critic of popular music, and audiophile, as well as a technology geek from Warsaw, Poland. Professionally, a project manager in software development.

Marcin is an apparent remote descendant of the Polish Renaissance poet Jan Kochanowski (left), most recognized for his 1580 Laments, dedicated to daughter Urszula (incidentally also the name of Marcin's mother, while Jan being his grandfather's). The nickname Kochaś, attached to Marcin since his kindergarten, may evoke various connotations, as it's a common Polish colloquialism for sweetheart, and loverboy (rightly so, nonetheless).
Marcin is proud of his hometown Gdańsk (part of the Tricity), the historic place, in which, in 1939 World War II had started, and where in 1980, Poland's, and eventually Eastern Europe's communism saw its end in the revolutionary Gdańsk Shipyard. Although, since 1999, Marcin lives in Warsaw, Poland's fast growing, struggled by history capital city, home of the unfortunate Palace of Culture and Science, and where Frédéric Chopin and Marie Curie grew up.
As a recognition of Marcin's worship of Indian cuisine, one of the towns in Bihar state in India was named — Kochas...
Professional
[edit]Marcin has been trying hard to multitask in different web projects and applications, with over 15 years of practice.
He first contributed as a co-host of a weekly music radio show in the alternative local radio station in Gdańsk, before writing culture reports for the New York Polish daily news Nowy Dziennik, the national daily Życie, and various music magazines. In 2005, he became an online editor in Gazeta Wyborcza, and had a weekly column on entertainment websites. In 2008, he turned to digital marketing strategies in advertising and public relations agencies including Grey Group, and later managed internal communications at GE Capital.
Since 2010, he has been a goal-oriented project manager of software development initiatives, including mobile and web applications, CMS and CRM platforms, as well as tailor-made communications platforms. He has been passionate about the ongoing technology evolution, while observing the ever-growing impact of machine learning and AI.
