The Giraffe Heroes Project

The Giraffe Heroes Project is a nonprofit organization that spreads the stories of brave individuals who stick their necks out for the common good. The Project was founded by Ann Medlock in 1984 and is headquartered in Langley, Washington. The Project has now named more than 1,000 Giraffes whose inspiring stories are told through elementary education, books, speaking engagements, and online communication.

The mission of the Giraffe Heroes Project is: "To foster the citizen courage and know-how that are essential to a just, ethical and compassionate world."
