Capital University Crusaders Mens Soccer team is a NCAA division III college team that is located in Columbus, Ohio.They are a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC)[1]. Home stadium is Bernlohr Stadium and is Coached by Alan Yost who is entering his fourth year as the head coach. He is assisted by Ryan Burton also entering his fourth year and R.G Florey who is a first year assistant coach, and . [2] Captains are Hunter Booth (Sr.), Mario Suarez (Sr.), Josh Spaw (Sr.), and Jacob Pulliam (Jr.).
For the first time in his career, Alan Yost made some cuts to trim the mens program to a standing roster of 34 players[3]. Having a long team that is able to be molded is essential for the recruiting process. He wants to have a team that fits into a style of play.
Capital Runs a 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1) formation with 4 defenders 5 midfielders and 1 attacker. Using this formation, when in possession, they are able to attack with about 7 players when bringing up the outside defenders. This is essential when playing a wing attack style of play. while they are not in possession, they are able to defend with 10 players leaving 1 target up top to hold the ball and wait for support.

The Crusaders had a short preseason consisting of only 3 days with the early start date of school being August 24, 2015. Although a very short preseason, much of the pre season continued through the first week of school. Practice times are usually 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday-Friday. A manditory yoga session is now required for players from 8:00PM-9:00 Pm to help relax the muscles strained during the intense practice workouts.
