The Ministry of Red Tape Reduction is a Ministry of the Government of Ontario established in June 2022. The current Minister is Parm Gill, appointed June 24 2022. The mandate for Red Tape Reduction was previously held by Associate Ministers for Small Business and Red Tape Reduction Nina Tangri and Prabmeet Sarkaria, reporting to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade. The Ministry is responsible for administering one Act, the Modernizing Ontario for People and Businesses Act[1].

Mandate

According to the Ministry's website, they are "improving Ontario’s competitiveness, supporting stronger supply chains and making it easier to work with government"[2]. The Ministry is responsible for publishing a report outlining burden reduction efforts across the government annually[3], and since 2018 has introduced 2 red tape reduction bills per year.
