I am a German biologist mainly active in the German Wikipedia, where I started in 2006.
Recently, I became involved in the Trump realm because I am living in the region where Donald's German grandparents came from and found this interesting at a time when that guy seemed to be just a running gag. Sometimes you stumble into a mess and realize that there's a job that nobody will do unless you do it. And I have always been an expert in finding jobs that are not paid for.
Much more pleasant for me is the biology of the fungi that I am currently exploring and that is far from being adequately described in WP. These fascinating organisms that are mainly living as almost invisible networks of hyphae in the soil are considered as the 3rd kingdom of organisms besides the animals (including men, and even Eric Burdon ;) and the plants. But did you know about how they practice sex? It's almost incredible. Forget Kamasutra! ;) On the other hand, they don't have the slightest traces of individuality. Every single part of the network is autonomous in every respect. Isn't this fascinating?
