The Spirit of Adventure was the first ship launched by the Spirit of Adventure Trust for the purpose of sail training. It was built in 1973 and sailed around New Zealand for the purpose of youth development, until it was sold in 1997. The vessel is now named Spirit of the Pacific and sails as a tourist vessel in Fiji. The Spirit of Adventure Trust now operates the Spirit of New Zealand as the replacement for the Spirit of Adventure.
