The Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra is a new musical marketing concept from CEO Jared Gutstadt of the company Jingle Punks Music. He and his bandmates took songs from the American “Hipster” songbook such as tunes from MGMT, The Strokes and The White Stripes, and re-imagined them as string arrangements.
Since the launch of this idea, the Hipster Orchestra has managed to integrate this idea into programming on NBC’s Last Call with Carson Daly, a live appearance in the new season of 90210, and several high profile gigs at industry centric venues like the Soho House.
The Hipster Orchestra has turned into a legitimate spin-off business for the Jingle Punks office, with requests coming in daily for the orchestra to play at live music festivals, appear on TV shows, and promote various consumer products.
