About me

I am a cheerleader at my town's High School. I have been cheering for 2 years. Over the summer, I was able to participate in the All-American competition at UCA camp. I have an interest in football. For fun, I like to study players' history and stats on each football team. I plan on transferring to a 4-year college to follow my dream of being a speech and language pathologist. I spend my free time working on my 1965 Ford Mustang. The Ford Mustang is one of the most generic muscle cars to work on. contains an in-line 6 engine. As the car runs you can see each valve and piece of the engine being put to work. They are fun to work on. They are also a great way for me to put my knowledge of cars to work.

My Wikipedia interests

I enjoy exploring Wikipedia pages that relate to U.S. History and history of women. I hope to correct false information so that viewers of those pages are able to obtain information and use it for their education. I use some of the wiki pages on cars to help fix the problems with my vintage car.

Article Evaluation

Everyone loves benches they give you somewhere to rest when your feet are sore from walking. They are homes for some people. The number of styles and materials drew me to this article. I visited the article Bench (furniture) article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects worth commenting on: reliable sources, currentness, and irrelevant sections.

In the article, there are a total of three sources. Two out of the three have links to the site from where they got the information, and they are just random articles. They have a lot of information on the types of benches that exist but no sources showing research on each bench. The article would be much more realistic with articles, newspapers, or any type of review.

The article I chose has up-to-date information. It was first created on April 28, 2006. Its most recent edit was on September 13, 2022. The article has been revised and kept up with, but also changed in unnecessary ways.

The last section of the article is a series of pictures that provide examples of how to use the bench. There are seven photos in total. Some of the pictures are just so unrealistic. I believe that it is common sense to just use the bench in an appropriate manner. There are three in specific that is most likely a joke that should be removed: the legs are straddling the bench, the man is in the reverse position, and one with the man lying on the ground with his legs up on the bench. These photos do not add anything to the article. They should be removed.

After evaluating the article, I believe that the currentness may be a part of how the article becomes very loose. It starts to fall apart and become useless. You will not gain much information from reading this article other than the types of benches. If you did not know all of the random ways to sit on a bench, you will after reading this article.
