The Samsung Mythic [1] (a.k.a. Samsung SGH-A877, SGH-A877, A877) is a mobile phone manufactured by Samsung Electronics. First announced on March 30th, 2009[2], it was released on April 7th, 2009[3]. It was the first phone manufactured in the United States to have an AMOLED touch-screen[4].
Design
[edit]The Samsung Mythic SGH-A897 features a 3.3-inch touch screen (360x640 pixels) capable of 256k (256,000) colors. The front of the phone contains the brilliant touch screen, and three bottom buttons; a incoming call accept and reject buttom (which doubles as the power button), and a back button. The sides of the phone hold the multitask button, the volume control rocker, the lock button, and the camera button. The top contains the proprietary headset, charger, and USB jack. A full QWERTY keyboard slides out from the left with backlit keys.
