Growing up I was involved in the Tucson, Arizona music scene, where I had the chance to sing on the stage of Carnegie Hall, in a church bombed during World War II in Germany, and in the air on commercial flights we took while touring the world.
My first job was overseas in Copenhagen, Denmark where I put that degree to work as an International Marketing Assistant at a computer security software company.
After a long battle with immigration, the country of Denmark kicked me out because they believed a Dane could do my job. My employer at the time disagreed and we quickly garnered the attention of the Danish Radio media while appealing the denial, which eventually led to me being permitted to stay in the country for a year. The battle for that status took a total of over a year to complete.
