Jay Kitsao new article content He was an accomplished scholar,writer and pioneer linguist in Kenya. He was born of the Giriama sub-tribe, (one of the nine tribes of the Mijikenda) in Bamba, Kilifi County, Kenya. Hew attended bamba Primary school and later joined alliance High School. folowing his brilliant academic prowess, Kitsao joined the Narobi University in... to pursue a B. A in Kisawahili. In a975, Kitsao presented the first ever M.A Swahili Thesis in The Nairobi University (cite).In a982, Kitsao finished his unique PhD Thesis on swahili literature which used statistics to make statements on style (cite). Kitsao has written many books some of which were used to examine candidates in Kenyan national examinations in the 1980s.He was married with children most of which are academicians in their own right.
