Engine and transmission
[edit]The Vortex is equipped with a longitudinally-mounted, twincharged and intercooled 1.6L Hyundai Gamma engine borrowed from the all-new Hyundai Tucson. It incorporates an Eaton TVS Roots supercharger. They are built in the United States of America, then shipped to Mongolia where all superchargers installed. The engine left the factory with a twin-scroll turbocharger. These engines are connected to a 8-speed ZF 8HP90 automatic transmission with manual shift by the gear lever or the steering-wheel shifters. The engine produces 444 hp (331 kW; 450 PS), and it marks the most powerful I4 gasoline engine ever in a production automobile. The transmissions come from Germany, while the engines come from South Korea. The Vortex also equipped with Mishimoto air-to-air intercooler.
