The Card Drive is a Mass Storage Device concept using SDXC cards. The concept is that the cards will be placed in one, regular Hard Drive Enclosure as close as possible. The cards will be connected via circuitry, not a raid controller. This means that if one cards fail, the others will continue to work and background processes would repair the damaged card. The circuitry will be designed so that it will stream the data to a SATA cable which would lead to the motherboard. The specific SATA revision is 3.0. The release date of this product is yet to be stated.
