The Lake Effect is a 2013 play written by Rajiv Joseph. Set in Cleveland during a rough winter, the play follows two siblings who are re-united after the death of their father. Together, with the help of their father's unlikely confidante, they unearth family secrets and face personal conflicts.
Originally commissioned by Silk Road Rising and Crossroads Theatre, the first production also had help from Lark Play Development Center.
The Lake Effect had it's world premiere on April 23rd, 2013 at Silk Road Rising in Chicago, Illinois, in a production directed by Timothy Douglas[1]. Starring Minita Gandhi, Adam Poss and Mark Smith.[2].
