Fountain Creek Canyon is a canyon in El Paso County, Colorado west of Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.
History
[edit]Fountain Creek Canyon was originally carved by Fountain Creek as it left the slopes of Pikes Peak and turned southeast through the Rampart Range.
- Portions of the track, and tunnels made for the train, are visible near Manitou Springs.
- Sides of the canyon carved out by blasting, exposing Pikes Peak granite.
