Notes:' The article I chose to edit is Local Governance Commission. I plan on contributing information about the coalition including how they started/ history, where they are located, what their main mission is and what they have accomplished thus far. I will discuss topics like smart growth, the ahwahneei principles, and some of their programs like the Americorps Civicspark program.

The local Government Commission (LGC) is a nonprofit membership organization that works to support local policymakers on topics involving climate change, energy, water and community design. LGC has been working to create livable communities for over 35 years CITE. They create programs to connect local leaders and work on policy advancement by and providing technical assistance and advice to local jurisdictions. Some of the specific services provided by the LGC including forums, workshops, training programs, presentations, design charrettes, and community image surveys CITE.
