Fc Minneapolis is an American soccer team based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area in Minnesota. Founded in 2013, the team will play in the Minnesota Recreational Soccer League (MRSL 2014), and the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL 2015) a professional league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation.
The team have historically played their home games at the Hopkins Pavilion in Hopkins, Minnesota, within Minneapolis. The team's colors are blue, lime green, and black with a white accent. Their current head coach is Ian Smith.
History
[edit]Fc Minneapolis began considering fielding a professional men's soccer team in the National Premier Soccer League in June 2013. The then current team, the City Borns, were preparing to join the Minnesota Recreational Soccer League due to financial struggles that hindered them from joining a professional league. In December 2013, Fc Minneapolis announced they would field their team in a professional league come 2015 and that participation in MRSL was just to give them a good feel of running a professional club. The State of Minnesota at the time was having only one professional men's soccer club.

A new logo was unveiled in June 2013. The logo was designed over a three-month period by a member of the club. It included the words 'FC MINNEAPOLIS' along with a soccer ball
