Jinju Conference Declaration for Philosophy Education
The Jinju Conference Declaration for Philosophy Education is a Declaration adopted by the participants of the 15th International Council for Philosophical Inquiry (ICPIC) conference held in Jinju, South Korea on July 18, 19, and 20 and by the organizations included in the Declaration. The Declaration arose from the increasing need to clarify what education is.
History
[edit]The Jinju Conference Declaration for Philosophy Education was adopted on July 20, 2011 at the 15th International Council for Philosophical Inquiry (ICPIC) conference held in Jinju, South Korea on July 18, 19, and 20. After the adoption the Declaration was updated by all parties involved.
Structure
[edit]The Declaration follows UNESCO Declarations in its structure. It mentions previous and related Declaration and states principles of philosophy education.

[edit]The Declaration is the first Declaration that brings together a large group of actors in the field of philosophy education. It also serves as a foundation for international, national and sub-national institutions and laws related to education.
