Bio

I (1999-present) am currently a student attending Olympic College. I have an interest in biology and chemistry and have an aspiration of being a veterinarian. I travel a lot and been to many places across the country, some of those places being my favorite to visit is Montana, Hawaii, and California. I fish a lot in the summer for salmon and trout but I would like to go fish for pike, tuna, halibut and other species and sport fish. In the summers I like to go camping out by a lake and enjoy the outdoors and spend that time with friends or family.

I have used wikipedia a little bit when I attended Highschool. I would use it when looking up people such as actors, important people or events. I used wikipedia to help with some research projects in the past and it has helped get me some more details, resources and cites. I could see myself using it as another option on research projects, when writing about someone or a little for history events or historical figures.

Article Critique

Wrestling is one of my favorite sports and I enjoy it very much. I have wrestled since I was young and all way through high school. I wrestled folkstyle, freestyle and greco-roman. Out of those three freestyle wrestling is by far the one I like the most. When looking through wikipedia I wanted to see the page on freestyle wrestling and check it out how well developed it is. I visited the freestyle wrestling page on wikipedia, and found three aspects of it commenting on: citations, age, and structure/completeness.

Citations

When I was reading this wikipedia page I was looking for citations. The page does have citations but when I was checking the citations I noticed it uses a lot of the same sources for its facts. There are other sources but it has vary few of other reliable sources it could be use. Since many of its sources are same and the rules in wrestling change frequently especially for freestyle and greco-roman I would come to think they are a little bias. If they could use more sources to provide similar facts instead of using the same source multiple times people may think its equal.

Age

From personal experiences the rules for freestyle wrestling change frequently sometimes changing little bits year to year. As I was clicking through the sources to check the date of how current they are, I saw the years 2003, 2013, 2015 ,2017. Some of the sources are up to date or is within a couple year difference though the ones earlier than that may not provide the same facts are the ones that are up to date.

Structure/Completeness

After I was finished reading the page there was some things I felt should be put in or added and also more details about some of the subjects. For example they could provide more info on takedowns and types of takedowns and the subject scoring, they could give more details of how you score. The womens freestyle wrestling subject they could put more info in their and give us more insight of it or they could take that out entirely and make that its very own page. Other than that the structure was good and flowed as I read through it.

Summary

My overall rating of this page would be good. It does provide a lot about the style of freestyle. It could use more reliable sources other going back on the same one quite a bit throughout the page. Although it uses the same source they don't seem to be dead links and they aren't too old. The structure was good and its pretty right on with its information, but it could provide more to some the subjects. Fixing some of these little problems could help develop this page more.
