Isophenic (IPN)

Isophenic (IPN) is a high grade polyisocyanurate insulation material, specifically designed for use in the construction industry, produced in the process of cyclotrimerization of aromatic polyisocyanates with the use of a customized system of trimerization catalysts.

The high NCO (isocyanate) index and high density of cross linking obtained with the application of polyester polyols results in improved fire properties (higher temperature of structure decomposition, lower smoke density), as well as enhanced long-term characteristics, like heat conductivity, mechanical parameters, or water absorption. Very fine cell structure and a very high closed cell content contributes to a superior λ coefficient, especially when compared with standard PIR foams.
