Mira Kadrić-Scheiber (* 1961 in Koprivna, Yugoslavia) is an Austrian translation and interpreting studies scholar and university professor. She leactures and researches at the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna. In a large number of academic publications, she deals with questions of translation in institutionalised contexts that are of current importance for society (with special focus on interpreting for authorities, courts, in diplomacy and politics). The central concern of her work is the generation and transfer of scientific knowledge to help resolve social challenges, in correspondence with the Universities’ Third Missionand to co-shape social developments on the basis of scientific findings.
