Nepal Bhasa Patrika (Devanagari: नेपाल भाषा पत्रिका) was the first daily newspaper in Nepal Bhasa.[1] It began publication on 28 September 1955 from Kathmandu. The first editor was Fatte Bahadur Singh.
Besides working to strengthen Nepal's fledgling journalism sector, Nepal Bhasa Patrika was a supporter of the private sector and frequently reported on trade and commerce.[2] The daily also championed the cause of political freedom, and has been described as an anti-status quo paper.[3]
