Philip B.Barekye is a Ugandan Veterinarian and Philosopher. He was born and raised in Ruhinda,Rukungiri district,an area predominantly occupied by the little-known but vibrant Bahororo people.

His parents are Ms.Dazil Kengyendo and Enoch Kamu Kamugisha(RIP). He attended Kashenyi primary and secondary schools for his PLE and UCE. At Kashenyi he was the best candidate in both years(2007 &2011). He then attended St.Mary's Kitende in Wakiso district from 2012 to 2013 for UACE. He later graduated from Makerere University with a bachelors degree of Veterinary medicine(BVM).

At Makerere,he was actively involved in the one health club and associations. He is well known for his passion for animal health and community development through social efforts and good governance advocacy.

The independent thinker and moderator is known to enjoy cattle keeping,reading and gardening during his free time.
