Emil Kamilarov (BG:Емил Камиларов) (1928-2007) was a Bulgarian violinist and violist.

Kamilarov was born on the 15th of April in 1928 in a train that traveled to the French city of Toulouse.

In 1955 he studied at the Leningrad Conservatory, doctoral thesis, later taught there. Since 1963 professor.

In 1961 Kamilarov won first price in the Paganini competition in Genoa.

In the early 1960s formed in Sofia "Bulgarian Chamber Orchestra." With his wife Dina Schneiderman played in duet and become absolute favorites of the audience. And today the world's radio broadcast ever issued "Balkanton" slab of vinyl recording of Paganini's First Concerto with the Philharmonic, conducted by Vassil Stefanov.

Having married the Ukranian violinist Dina Schneidermann (born 1931), Kamilarov moved to Bulgaria. The couple left Bulgaria in the early 1980s, and moved to Uppsala. The regime declared them "non-returnees" and enters them in the "black list". Mentioning of the names and broadcasing their recordings was strictly prohibited.

They established in Sweden, taught the violin and continued to tour worldwide. Kamilarov teaches at the Music Academy in Gothenburg and Uppsala.

Only in the mid-1990s the family returned to the Bulgarian stage, gave a concert with string orchestra and semi-led master class.

Emil Kamilarov died on October 4, 2007 in Uppsala, Sweden, where he lived for nearly 30 years. There was buried. At the request of Emil Kamilarov his death was kept secret. Only on November 19, 2007 news of his death was announced by the family.
