From acting ("Nandigram chokher Pani"-The best film in Tehran international film festival,and "Ebong Ranjan"-screened at the 22nd Kolkata international film festival)he moved on to direct films.His first film"Bonjour opekhay" was nominated in major film festivals accross the globe.Of late he is trying his hands at writing.His first book "Topsy-turvy"has become a success.It is the English translation of Ha-ja-ba-ra-la.
