William and Mary style architecture represents the British architectural style associated with the reigns of King William III (reigned 1689–1702) and Queen Mary II (reigned 1688–94) in Great Britain. It was influenced by William's native Holland and from French style brought to England by Huguenot refugees after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685.[1]
It also introduced oriental motifs from China, which led to the beginnings of Chinoiserie.[1]
