Mr. K. H. More hails from a small village near Pune named “Kopre”. He completed his academics in 1971 with a post graduate degree of M.Com CAIIB. His father’s business acumen and social cognizance together had a great positive impact on Mr. K. H. More and it played a major role in shaping Mr. More into socially responsible businessman eventually. Although joining the bank sector in 1973, a realisation that one has to work towards betterment of society kept encouraging Mr. More to contribute towards society in various ways and capacities. While working for Bank of India as an officer for 20 years, he ideated and executed many social initiatives. Back in those days when there was no branch of any bank beyond Nal Stop (Kothrud), Mr. More put in a lot of efforts to successfully open branch of Bank Of India in Uttam Nagar; he also tried to bring a post office in Uttam Nagar area which was earlier not available. While working at various branches Mr. More kept his social commitment through noteworthy steps such as sanctioning loans for the needy people, helping distressed farmers etc. While working at the Theur branch, he managed a record of sanctioning loans to 250 farmers. While at Dapodi branch, he ensured that a loan of a cancer patient is waived off. He introduced first small scale industry and medical store in and around Sinhagad Road area in 1970s.

After successfully running this business for about 15 years, he started the first ever petrol pump in Shivane area in 2007. He continued in the petroleum business and soon after also started outlets at Shivne, Donje & Lavasa.

In 2001, Mr. K. H. More had a chance to visit the USA. There he had his first encounter with the Goodwill Trust - a well-known trust in the USA which collects the used clothes and articles of domestic use and distributes the same at nominal cost to the needy people. This concept highly impressed Mr. K.H. More and it remained on his mind for quite some time. Mr. K. H. More has always been socially cognizant and active for bringing social changes through various activities. Although he wanted to start a social organisation since his youth, this aspiration took a back seat due to various responsibilities.

Finally in year 2012, Mr. K. H. More decided to work towards social betterment for the full time and registered the More Welfare Trust - which is the family trust. He started with the concept that had highly impressed him back in 2001 and he replicated the initiative of clothes donation and distribution in Pune (India) by the name Goodwill India under More Welfare Trust. This initiative was started in Pune on 15th August 2012. As of today, 2,025,000 units of readymade clothes are distributed to needy peoples. Apart from three stationary distribution centres at Shivane, Warje and Dhayari, a mobile van of Goodwill India moves in and around Pune daily to collect and distribute the clothes.
