Bio-psychology as proposed by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti is
The term "bio-psichology" was proposed by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti (spiritual name of Prabhat_Ranjan_Sarkar)in June of 1987. Biopsichology according to Anandamurti is the science that studies the relation between body (biology) and mind (psychology) in the context of the yogic concepts of the structure of body and mind.
According to bio-psychology all living creatures thoughts, feelings and behaviour are shaped by a complex relation between three aspects:
- psychic conditioning from previous experiences and actions
- conditining from the present environment the individual is in
- the functioning of the nerve cells and endocrin glands of the individual's physical structure (body)
Some remarkable concepts are:
- Propensities. Propensities are specific behaviour paterns associated with different glandular secretions, which can be balanced through diet and specific exercises.
- Relation with the yoga technics and knowledge. Biospichology relates the processes of individual expansion of mind and consciouness by relating these with glandular and nervous system processes and development.
- Importance of lymphatic system. According to Anandamurti the lymphatic system plays a key role in nourishing the endocrin and nervous system.
- All living beings have some sort of simple or more complicated psychology. Even a single cell has a very simple mind.
- Appexed psychology. Concept that human beings can develop through methodical concentration a pointed intelect and fully focus on their psychic flow in the existential aspect of existance. Through this pointed mind human beings can transcend the normal limitations of time, space and person and have direct experiences of higher states of awareness.
