IRIE FM (Reggae Radio)
Grove Broadcasting Company (IRIE FM) is a broadcast company in Jamaica with headquarters in Ocho Rios, St. Ann. Established in 1990 the station is Jamaica's first and only Reggae Radio Station and is formatted to mostly play Reggae, Jamaican and African Music. The station broadcasts a range of talk programmes on Jamaican culture, music and sports.
IRIE FM started broadcasting in 1990 from the Grove Recording Studio in Ocho Rios Jamaica, with a pulsing baseline and irreverent commitment to Jamaica's authentic sound Reggae. The station was founded by local entrepreneur and owner of the Grove Music Studio, Karl Young OD, and is known for recording the music soundtrack for the Little Mermaid Film and international recording Artistes UB40, Burning Spear, Third World and Ziggy Marley.
The company also operates the "Youth" Radio Station ZIP 103FM from Kingston, Jamaica.
